Kevin R. Telfair 61 of Stroudsburg died on Tuesday Dec. 27, 2016 at his home with his loving wife Sharon by his side. He was the husband of Sharon Blue Telfair. Born in Queens, New York he was the son of the late Herman and Jean (Patterson) Telfair.
Kevin was a resident of the Stroudsburg area for the past 20 years and prior to that he resided in the New York City area. He was employed as a senior Underwriter for the Anthem Company Inc. of New York City from 2011 until the present; prior to that owned and operated Mortgage First Co. of Stroudsburg for many years.
He was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church of Stroudsburg and was an army veteran of the Vietnam War.
In addition to his wife Sharon he is survived by a son Raphael M. Blue of Washington, D.C. and a daughter Catherine E. Thomas of Philadelphia, a brother Darren Telfair of Pomona, Ca. a granddaughter Makayla E. Blue and a niece Jasmine Telfair and a nephew Steven Telfair. He was preceded in death by a brother Steven Telfair.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday Jan. 7, 2017 at 10:00am from St. Luke’s Catholic Church 818 Main St. Stroudsburg, Pa. with Fr. Carmen Perry as celebrant. Burial will be in the Laurelwood Cemetery Stroudsburg, Pa. There will be a visitation on Saturday Jan. 7, 2017 from 8:30am until the time of the Mass at the church. The Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th.St.Stroudsburg, Pa. is in charge of the arrangements.
