Joseph E. Miller 91 of Tannersville passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband to Doris (Koch) Miller with whom he spent 69 years of marriage. Born in Newark, N.J. he was the son of the late Arthur and Charlotte (MacMorrow) Miller.
Joseph was of the Roman Catholic faith and very active in his church, Our Lady of Victory. He was a very spiritual person and always helped others. Joseph was in the Navy during World WarII where he was a radio operator on a sea plane. Later in his life he worked for AT&T where he did business management and later retired. Joseph will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, Doris Miller, he is also survived by his 6 children; Michael Miller and wife Judy, Susan Peters, James Miller and wife Lori, Barbara Leininger and husband Peter, Diane Hammerle and husband Steve, Steven Miller and wife Karen. Joseph is also survive by a sister; Doris Sanford, and 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
There will be a service Friday, March 24, 2017 at 10:30am held at Our Lady of Victory 327 Cherry Lane Rd., Tannersville, Pa 18372. Burial will take place Monday, March 27, 2017 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, Pa. There will be a viewing Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 5-8pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc. 23 North 9th Street Stroudsburg, Pa 18360 and 9:30am until the time of service at the church.
