Anthony R. DeRobertis 94 of Stroudsburg died on Tuesday Oct. 17, 2017 in St. Luke’s Hospice House Bethlehem, Pa. He was the loving husband of Rose (Furnari) DeRobertis with who he had celebrated 65 years of marriage.
Born in New York City, N.Y. he was the son of Giovani and Mary (deApril) DeRobertis. Anthony was a resident of the Stroudsburg area for the past 20 years and prior to that he resided in the Maspeth, N.Y. area. He worked for the Elton Utility Company of Bronx, N.Y. for many years. Anthony was an Army veteran of WWII and was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Tannersville. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Tannersville council.
In addition to his wife Rose he is survived by 2 sons: John C. DeRobertis wife Marie of Stroudsburg, Pa. and Robert B. DeRobertis wife Diana of Franklin, MA. and 5 grandchildren: Nicole M. DeRobertis, Anthony T. DeRobertis, Michael J. DeRobertis, Michelle J. DeRobertis and Masha DeRobertis, and a sister Annie Pallen of Melbourne, FL.
There will be a viewing on Friday Oct. 20, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8:00pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th.St.Stroudsburg, Pa. followed by a Mass of Christian burial on Saturday Oct. 21, 2017 at 10:00am from Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church Cherry Lane Rd. Tannersville, Pa. with Fr. Richard Czachor as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery E. Stroudsburg, Pa.
