Migdalia(Medalia) Gonzalez Villalobos 68 of Blakeslee, Pa. died on Wednesday June 6, 2018. She was the widow of Jose Ernesto Villalobos. Born in New York City she was the daughter of Juan and Epifania Rivera Gonzalez.
Medalia was a resident of the Blakeslee area for the past year and prior to that she resided in the East Stroudsburg area for 22 years and her early years were spent in the New York City, N.Y. area. She worked as a nurse at clinics in the New York City, N.Y. area for many years. Medalia was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by a daughter Marlene Torres Rodriguez of East Stroudsburg, Pa., her former husband Carlos S. Torres of Blakeslee, Pa., a sister Lily Gonzalez of Kissimmee, Fl., two brothers: Humberto Gonzalez of Tampa, Fl. and Roberto Gonzalez of Delaware , 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Allen Torres.
A Catholic Prayer service will be held on Wednesday June 13, 2018 at 10:30am at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th.St.Stroudsburg, Pa. with Fr. Carmen Perry officiating. Burial will be in the Sandhill Cemetery Bushkill, Pa. There will be a viewing on Tuesday June 12, 2018 from 5-7:00pm at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the funeral home.
