Frances Pula 94 of Stroudsburg, Pa. died on Thursday June 21, 2018 in the Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home Snydersville, Pa. She was the widow of Walter L. Pula who died in 1995. Born in Jeddo, Pa. she was the daughter of Michael and Anna Sabol. She was a resident of the Stroudsburg area for the past 58 years and prior to that she resided in the Jeddo area.
She along with her husband Walter owned and operated the Penn Stroud Beer Distributing Co. in Stroudsburg for 25 years and later owned the Eagle Valley Beer Distributor in East Stroudsburg for many years. She was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Stroudsburg, Pa. She loved antiquing and would be the first one at the garage sales on Saturday morning.
She is survived by a daughter Carol Ann Colman and her husband Jay of Wellington, FL. and 2 sons Joseph J. Pula and his wife Denise and Walter R. Pula both of Stroudsburg, Pa.; 7 grandchildren: Kiersten Dossey husband Mark, Jason Colman wife Shelby, Joseph J. Pula Jr., Michael F. Pula wife Tara, Rachel Peiffer husband Brad, Andrew Pula, Jonathan Sherman and his fiancé Chelsea, and Ryan Gordon and wife Jackie; and 7 grandchildren: Celeste, Logan, Kyah, Sophia, Lilly, Noah, and Emmalyn.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 23, 2018 at 10:30am from St. Luke’s Catholic Church 818 Main St. Stroudsburg, Pa. with Fr. Carmen Perry as celebrant. Burial will be in the Laurelwood Cemetery Stroudsburg, Pa. There will be a viewing on Saturday June 23, 2018 from 9:30am until the time of the mass at the church.
